How do I check BISP eligibility safely?
Ask only through BISP’s own channels: the 8171 web portal at 8171.bisp.gov.pk, the free helpline 0800-26477, or your nearest BISP tehsil office. Never give your CNIC number to any other website, agent or WhatsApp number.

The official way, step by step
- If your household has not been surveyed, first get surveyed at your nearest BISP tehsil office (Benazir Registration Centre). The survey is completely free, with no forms or fees.Source: bisp.gov.pk (Press Release No. 20, 10 Mar 2026)Checked on:

How eligibility is decided
Eligibility is decided by the PMT score (0 to 100) from the NSER survey. The Kafaalat cut-off is 32; 37 for a household with a person with a disability.Source: bisp.gov.pk (Benazir Kafaalat programme page)Checked on:
What scammers do
- They send “8171” or “BISP” messages from ordinary mobile numbers starting 03.
- They run “8171 check” websites ending .com, .pk or .online that collect your CNIC number or claim to show your PMT score.
- They ask for a fee on Easypaisa or JazzCash to “add your name to the list”, to survey you or to “release” a payment.
- They call and ask for the code or PIN that arrived on your phone.
BISP and PTA have worked together on fake 8171 messages and on blocking fake websites.Source: pid.gov.pk (PR No. 59: BISP and PTA act on fake 8171 messages and websites, 5 Jul 2024)Checked on:
Haqdaar is not BISP and cannot check your eligibility. We never ask for your CNIC number. Our eligibility helper only explains the official rules, and it runs on your phone.
Questions people ask
- Can I check BISP eligibility online?
- Yes, but only on BISP’s own 8171 web portal, 8171.bisp.gov.pk. Any other website that asks for your CNIC to check BISP eligibility is not official.
- Is there a fee to check eligibility or register?
- No. BISP says the registration survey is free and all its services are free.
- What PMT score do I need?
- 32 or less for Kafaalat; 37 for a household with a person with a disability. Only BISP knows your score.
- Can an agent get my name on the list?
- No. Eligibility comes only from the survey score, and registration is free. Anyone asking for money is a scammer.
