Scams around this scheme
  • A “BISP” message from any number other than 8171 (for example a 03xx mobile number) is fake.
  • Anyone who asks for money to register, to survey you or to “release” a payment is a scammer. Registration and all services are free.
  • There is no online PMT score checker. Do not type your CNIC into such sites.
  • Count your payment when you receive it. If anyone deducts money, complain on 0800-26477.
Questions people ask
Are Ehsaas Kafaalat and Benazir Kafaalat the same?
Yes. It is the same BISP programme under a new name. The name change does not change your eligibility.
Can I see my PMT score online?
No. There is no online PMT checker. Any website that claims to show your score is fake.
Is there a registration fee?
No. BISP says the registration survey is completely free and all its services are free.
Has it gone up to Rs 18,000?
Not yet. A plan to pay Rs 18,000 from January 2027 has been announced. Until it takes effect, the amount is Rs 14,500 per quarter.
